Panel Discussion on the Legal, Social and Economic Impact of Gaming in The Bahamas

The Bahamas Bar Association, The Eugene Dupuch Law School Alumni Association and The Eugene Dupuch Law School Students? Association are pleased to announce that together they will host a panel discussion on The Legal, Social and Economic Impact of Gaming in The Bahamas. The Eugene Dupuch Law School and The Bahamas Bar Association see it as their duty to promote, encourage and facilitate public awareness and understanding of the various issues that affect our society.

Accordingly, the purpose of this panel discussion is to frame the issues surrounding the debate on gaming and gambling in a legal, social and economic context in order to inform the general public and to bring a greater awareness of the issues.

The panel discussion will be held on Thursday January 10, 2013 from 7- 9 p.m. in the UWI Restaurant at the School of Hospitality, Thompson Boulevard. The presenters will include The Rt. Rev. Dr. Kirkley Sands, Ms. Rowena Bethel, attorney-at-law, Mr. Raynard Rigby, attorney-at-law, Dr. Michael Neville, psychiatrist, and Mr. Ashley Williams, a student at the Eugene Dupuch Law School. Admission is free and we invite and encourage wide public support and participation for this event.
