Please join Doongalik Studios Art Gallery on Thursday, February 4th, 2016 for the opening of WAH-KEEN: Up & Down The Road of Transformation!

The students of NGM High School in Buckley's, Long Island have been exploring their experiences of the devestating Hurrican Joaquin that ravaged the island in October of last year. Under the direction of their art teacher, Natasha Turnquest, this art therapy exercise attempted to serve as a measure of cartharsis for the students whose ages range from 11 to 18.

Each piece of work is accompanied by the student's artist statement and writted refelection of their memory of the storm.
