Bahamas Half Marathon & 10K

Choose your race! An individual half marathon, a 3-person half marathon relay, or a 10k!

Half Marathon/Relay
The Bahamas Half Marathon course will start and finish at Arawak Cay. The course is an out and back along the Northern coastline of New Providence. For the Relay there are 3 legs of ~4.3 miles each.

10k Race
The 10k run (6.2 miles) will follow the same course but turn around before the half marathoners. This is an ideal first long distance road race for beginners! Walkers are welcome also!

Bahamas Half Marathon & 10K


Race Start Time: Half Marathon & Relay - 6:00 a.m.|10k - 6:05am

Start/Finish Line Location: Arawak Cay west of downtown. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time to travel to the start, check your gear and walk to the start area. Activities start at 5:30am. There is ample parking in the vacinity.

PACKET PICKUP: Friday, Nov. 20 noon to 6pm and Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10am to 6pm, Sports Center Store -Harbour Bay location only. All participants must pick-up their race packet at the pickup point above. There is NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP. ID required. You may pick-up a packet on behalf of other participants. If you are coming from out of town and cannot make the deadline for pickup please send the race organizers an email to make arrangements.

Late Registration will be available at the Expo. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Relay Exchanges: The exchange point for both the 2nd and 3rd leg of the race is just East of Sandals Hotel on West Bay Street. There will be a sign and officials at the site.

Shuttle Bus for Relay Teams: A Shuttle bus will be leaving from the the start line at Arawak Cay to the relay exchange point at Sandals at 5:30am sharp and will return participants at 7:30am. This service is complimentary.

Gear Check: Gear Check will be at the start line on the beach side and your items will be secured in the Armoured Car. Feel free to use the bag provided at packet pick-up or your own bag. A label will be attached to your bag by a race volunteer at the gear check Armour Car for identification. All unclaimed items (by 1:30 pm) will be donated to a local charity. Do not give your items to volunteers except those at gear check. Bahamas Half is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Weather Forecast: The average weather in November is usually absolutely stunning with lows in the upper 60s (mornings) rising to the upper-70s (afternoon). The humidity averages out to 64%, with the sunrise at 6:30 am EST.
Keep checking the weather forecast for Nassau, Bahamas at www.weather.com and plan to bring running clothes for a range of temperatures.

Aid Stations: There are 6 aid stations on the course approx. 1 mile apart with sports drink (Powerade) and Dasani water. There are also 2 cheer zones who will have bottled water for those needing it.

2 Ambulances will be on route and authorized cyclists will be patrolling the Western course acting as 'look-outs' for the medical team.

Port olets will be at the start line as well as on the course.

Race Rules: Runners wearing headphones must remain aware of race officials, traffic and other runners. Any participant who fails to follow directions from race officials is subject to being removed from the race course, for their own safety and the safety of other participants.

Race Results: Ongoing results will be posted on the results board at the finish line as well as on www.bahamashalf.com

Award Ceremony: Half Marathon/10k/Relay Awards - 8am
