GB casino Partner Prepares Pull Out

Employees at the casino at Our Lucaya Resort in Freeport were notified yesterday by the casino partner, Treasure Bay, that it will formally pull out in 30 days, Minister of Tourism Obie Wilchcombe confirmed last night.
Treasure Bay has operated the casino since 2009 when it took over from Isle of Capri.

Family of murder victim yet o come to erms with death

The family of a mother-of-two who was found dead in an apartment on Charles Vincent Street on Friday said they have yet to come to terms with her "terrifying" death and want to know why she was killed.

Hundreds show up for Mardi Gras to help the GB Children?s Home

Hundreds of masked people, adorned in colorful beads, gathered at Xanadu Beach Hotel Friday night, January 30th, for the annual Children?s Home fundraiser. Despite the winds, rain and cold temperatures, many Grand Bahamians made the effort for a very worthy cause. Guests went all out, dressing in bright colours, wearing masks and even traditional outfits for the fun Mardi Gras themed party.
