From Columbus to Junkanoo | Painting Workshop

The NAGB is pleased to engage the dynamic duo of painting, Jackson and Bernard Petit, who will lead a hands-on workshop, From Columbus to Junkanoo, Saturday, November 26, 2016, and Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.
Participants will be guided through the completion of an acrylic painting. This two-day workshop will also introduce students to key fundamentals of good picture making, from the technical to the conceptual with still life as the subject matter. Some of the principles discussed throughout the workshop will be composition, accuracy in drawing, color and color theory, understanding form and modeling, lighting and materials. The work and knowledge explored during the workshop can be translated to any genre of painting.
Instructors: Jackson Petit and Bernard Petit
Age Group: Adults-age 18 and over
Cost: $25 Members/$35 non-members (inclusive of materials)
