Run for Pompey honours the life of Pompey, a national hero of The Bahamas, who led a famous rebellion on the island of Exuma. His actions are considered a key precursor to emancipation in the Bahamas, which occurred in August 1838.

Run For Pompey supports students in the community who have no other means to pursue post-secondary studies through the Pompey Scholarship. In addition to the scholarship program, the Run For Pompey Fund aims to provide better educational materials and facilities for the whole community.

There will be amazing door prizes for our paid registrants including a $1,200 watch courtesy of Bahamas Watch Exchange, day passes to Breezes, and of course t-shirts, medals, and swag bags for all runners.
