The Bahamas International Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the local Bahamian community and international visitors with a diverse presentation of films from around the world. In addition to offering films that might not otherwise be released theatrically in the Bahamas, BIFF will provide a unique cultural experience and set of educational programs and forums for exploring the past, present and future of cinema.

Bahamas International Film Festival - Save The Dates

Since the launch in 2004 the Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) has created a legacy of excellence in presenting The Bahamas as a premier film destination to the international cinematic community and being one of the only platforms to encourage both Bahamian and foreign filmmakers alike. Apart from showcasing 1000+ local and international films, we have introduced our culture to more than 1 million film professionals and enthusiasts from around the world and have injected into The Bahamas an economic impact of over $25 Million dollars.

BIFF brings together some of the most creative and successful minds in the international film industry to our shores. Celebrate ‘BIFF’s - Cinema In Paradise’ December 9 – 15, 2019.

BAHAMAS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2019 DECEMBER 9 TO DECEMBER 15


BIFF’s focus has been on four key events:
Film Workshop Outreach — Allows participants to imagine a career in film. BIFF has taught film to 1,000 private and public students, providing training and new skill set in film, enhancing creativity and helping Bahamians dream big. Program to begin in October for three weeks.
BIFF Writers Residency Program — BIFF’s film professionals have nurtured writers to realize the potential of making a film from script to screen. Program to take place December 9 to 15 in Nassau in honor of Hope Town, Abaco.
Summer Film Series — A catalogue of films showcased at pervious film festivals and films that are newly released an on going bi-weekly film showcase at the Current Art Gallery, Baha Mar.
The Main Event BIFF —BIFF is open to the entire community, residents and visitors are invited to attend, December 9 to December 15.
