Man convicted of 2006 prison escape

A prisoner who escaped during a deadly prison break was on Thursday acquitted of the murder of a guard and wounding another.
However, Corey Hepburn was convicted of the escape.

More than 4,300 child abuse cases since 2006

The Ministry of Social Services has recorded 4,360 cases of reported child abuse between 2006 and 2012, according to statistics tabled in the House of Assembly by Minister of Social Services Melanie Griffin.

Man accused in 2006 prison break gets bail

Corey Hepburn, who is accused of the 2006 murder of a prison guard, was released from Her Majesty's Prison on $30,000 bail earlier this week, his attorney Monique Gomez confirmed.
Hepburn along with Barry Parcoi and Forrester Bowe were charged in the Supreme Court in June 2008 with the murder of Corporal Dion Bowles during a prison break on January 17, 2006. They are also facing escape charges.
