Disappointed

I was very disappointed with the service I got from Midas, after I paid 20 dollars for just an inspection, so they could tell me why my car was making noises, they said only my right bearing and both tie rod ends needed to be fixed and I need new tires. Because I couldn't afford everything at once. I asked for the most important issues to deal with first. I was told the bearing and wheel hub is what should be done first.They charged me about $450 to change my left bearing and wheel hub ...... yes just one bearing... I could only assume that no one took the car for a test drive or bothered to check the bearing on the other side because after I got the car back it was still making the exact same noise and sounding worst.... I meant to take it back but I remembered my tie rod ends also needed to change, so that could be the reason for the noise. Since I knew I would have the money needed to fix the tie rod ends in a few days I just waited until I took it back to Midas then.... UNFORTUNATELY before I could make it back while I was driving my left wheel collapsed two days later! When the wheel was taken off it was determined that the bearing was broken....now they would like me to spend about another $450 to fix the other side. Do you think that should or could have been overlooked? considering the right wheel bearing was just replaced 2 days before and the entire car was inspected about a week ago and the inspection was paid for?? I really think this organisation needs to take more pride in their craft, they have great service and the people or nice you can ask any question but more attention to detail and care for their customers needs to be displayed from the garage staff. I went to them to avoid the "bush mechanic" horror stories but today I realized there is not much difference, and I would go to a bush mechanic any day!
