Bastian, Morley make 'B' cut in swimming Mako three-peats

It's been a long time coming but on the final day to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Bahamian and Barracuda Swim Club's Izaak Bastian was able to make the Olympic 'B' standard time in the 100 meters (m) breaststroke. Swimmers' medal haul

Three of the five swimmers from the Grand Bahama YMCA's Wave Runners Swim Club, who competed at this month's CARIFTA Games, returned from Jamaica with medals.

Aaron Levarity won two golds and a bronze, Taryn Smith won a silver and two bronze medals (two of them in individual events), while Maya Albury came back with a bronze medal.

Bahamas Aquatics issues warning to unauthorized groups

The Bahamas Aquatics Federation (BAF) has issued a stern warning to any other organization offering Bahamas Aquatics’ disciplines to cease and desist these activities, citing that these unauthorized and unregulated organizations are not authorized to carry out the Bahamas Aquatics COVID-19 safety protocols that are approved by the Ministry of Health.

National record for Izaak Bastian

Bahamian swimmer Izaak Bastian swam his first long course race competitively in over a year over the weekend and he did not disappoint as he swam his way to a new national record in the men’s 200 meters (m) breaststroke.
