Bahamian duo, Caitlin Cash and Sydney Wells, share family ties and a deep passion for gymnastics. Cash spent part of her summer holiday training at GymAmerica in Ann Arbor Michigan. This is the second time that young Cash was hosted by Erika Daman and her family. The first time, February 2011, was when Cash competed in her first overseas competition, Wolverines Classic.

IOC excludes artistic gymnast after B sample returns positive

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) today announced that Uzbek athlete Luiza Galiulina (artistic gymnastics) has been excluded from the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London.

Galiulina provided a urine sample on 25 July that tested positive for the prohibited substance furosemide. The analysis of the B sample confirmed the results of the A sample.
