Description
Central Gospel Chapel is unique; it is the first open Assembly that began on New Providence. Its legacy includes the nuclei for other Assemblies such as Emmanuel Gospel Chapel, East Street Gospel Chapel and Grace Gospel Chapel (now Grace Community Church).
The Ministries at Central Gospel Chapel continue to evolve. The church fulfills its scriptural mandate to preach the gospel and minister to the needy in many ways. One of the major ministries the church is engaged in is the Teen Mother’s Program. The church provides spiritual counsel and clothing to pregnant teens that are registered in this course. Also, the church continues to work closely in the Canaan Lane neighborhood. Many of the youths in this area attend Sunday School where they receive Bible instruction weekly. In addition, the church has touched many lives in this area by providing for social needs when necessary.
The Bahamas like many other countries faces colossal social challenges such as crime, domestic abuse, poverty among others. Thus it is necessary for Churches everywhere to revolutionize their approach to ministry to reach lost souls for the kingdom of God.
