VISAGE, the Bahamas? number one party band, was formed in 1981 when it?s leader, Obi Pindling, returned home to the Bahamas from law school in the United Kingdom. At that time, the band?s repertoire consisted primarily of American R&B, reggae and Bahamian junkanoo and rake n? scrape. In 1986, after the band leader?s very first visit to Carnival in Trinidad, the band added soca to its repertoire.

Though, at home today, Visage is known primarily as a high-energy soca band, this is terribly misleading. Their energetic, non-stop, high-power stage performances are now legendary in the Bahamas.

Without a doubt, however Visage is perhaps, the most versatile live band in the Bahamas today effortlessly moving from genre to genre during their performances. This versatility has become Visage?s trademark as they are more than adequately capable of satisfying audiences of almost any age demographic.
