GEMS 105.9 FM began broadcasting October 2006, officially launching on January 3rd, 2007, heralding the mission of Strengthening Our Women and Uplifting Our Men. Our global vision for this multimedia network is to raise the standard of broadcasting through innovation and motivation.

GEMS Radio Great Entertainment and Motivational Sounds is a subsidiary of Bartlett-McWeeney Communications, Ltd and part of the GEMS New Media Network. Other subsidiaries include GEMS Television, Public Relations, Publishing and Online Services. It is the first multimedia establishment in the Bahamas providing e-commerce services.

We at GEMS strive to bring our audience excellence in programming, music, entertainment and news. Our genre of music is easy listening, free of offensive and derogatory lyrics.
