All program guests must check in at UNEXSO in Port Lucaya by 10:00 a.m. to receive their wristbands and sign program waivers. Welcome aboard to our new program that gives you the perfect combination of our Dolphin Close Encounter and Dolphin Swim!

All program guests must check in at UNEXSO in Port Lucaya to receive their wristbands and sign program waivers. At 10:30 a.m. you will depart for a brief bus ride to our beautiful dolphin facility “Sanctuary Bay”, where you will be greeted by our dolphin staff and taken to your program area.

Upon arrival at the program area, guests will sit on the docks with their feet in the water while given an educational briefing. Guests may ask questions during this time regarding dolphins and other marine mammals. During this part of the program, the dolphins will swim past you allowing you to reach out and touch them. Next, guests will enter the water 5 – 6 at a time and participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity. The session will include feeding the dolphins, stand in awe as they leap out of the water and over your head. Make them splash, talk or twirl when you offer them behavior signals! The enrichment part of the session allows you to swim alongside the dolphins, touch them, perhaps even get a hug or a kiss as they observe these beautiful creatures in their home environment. Total in water time is approximately 5-7 minutes.

A photographer will be on hand taking pictures throughout the program to capture this experience. All photos will be available for purchase once you return to UNEXSO. After the completion of the dolphin session, guests will then explore our bird patio and tortoise enclosure where they may have photos taken with an assortment of macaws, cockatoos and our resident African tortoises. Guests wishing to just relax after the dolphin program may visit our snack bar for a cool drink or an assortment of snacks and sit down and enjoy the beauty of the facility. Guests will board the return bus to UNEXSO at 12:45 p.m. Once there, guests can check out their photos from the program and choose to purchase all on a USB device or individual printed photos at that time. This is a wet program and cameras are not allowed during the dolphin portion.
