Govt to issue web shop licenses by early 2015

A formal invitation to apply for web shop licenses will be released by mid-November and the government expects to "go live" and begin issuing licenses by early 2015, Minister of Tourism Obie Wilchcombe said yesterday.

Munroe: Web shops might leave if foreigners banned

Attorney Wayne Munroe said if the government does not remove the discriminatory element of the new Gaming Bill that prevents foreigners from gambling in local web shops, the owners of those establishments may take their businesses outside of the country.
