Getting serious about shanty towns

As we have repeatedly pointed out, shanty towns are a major problem in The Bahamas.
In 2009, then Minister of State for Immigration Branville McCartney said that 37 shanty towns had been identified in New Providence alone.

Oh how I Love Christmas

I love Christmas for all of the traditional reasons. However, I also love the fact that the garbage collection folks came twice this week, Water and Sewerage delivered a full case of filters and the paper delivery lady came early, etc.
