Real Estate Agent : Daniel Waton
- Daniel Waton
Returning to his birthplace, Daniel has been welcomed onto the formidable sales team of H G Christie Ltd, The Bahamas' oldest real estate firm. At 20 years of age, Daniel has experienced life, eco tourism, development and industry on 5 of the beautiful islands of the Bahamas, including Abaco, Spanish Wells and Eleuthera. Spending formative years enjoying the structure and disciplines of a premiere ranked naval academy in the United States, Admiral Farragut Academy, Daniel enjoyed the luxury of international education and the camaraderie and competition of sports, particularly lacrosse, football and boxing with sailing and fishing as a favourite hobby.
Graduating, with sights set on the South, Ole Miss, the University of Mississippi, was a great fit as a University. However the passion of an island boy called, as formal education did not inspire. Passion was ignited in the islands and there it remained. Home called, Daniel answered. Always a penchant for entrepreneurship and sales, with a lucky streak for winning competitions, Daniel turned to Starter Island, a startup competition built to educate and encourage entrepreneurship for fun and as a way to break back in to his hometown. His team went on to win the competition, and their idea was offered backing by the Starter Island crew.
Turning his interest to his core studies of business and finance, a Mom as a long standing top producer in the firm, and a love for beautiful places, real estate was a natural gravitation. Becoming licensed as one of the youngest to pass the real estate exam at 18 years of age in the Bahamas, Daniel had little time to spend selling as he was quickly snatched up by the exclusive Club at Windermere, on private, Windermere Island, Eleuthera. Here, he devoted a year as the driving force to upgrade the Club and developed the trust, respect and appreciation of long standing members, and established employees with tenure, handling matters of management of the exclusive club with diligence and aplomb.
Determined to return home to Nassau, and luxury being a reoccurring theme and perfect fit, an opportunity presented itself. Quickly, high level of responsibility and management became a natural position as Daniel was hired for property management at luxury residences on Paradise Island. Property management being the first ingredient in his resume, which also includes
a strong portfolio of development aerial photography and yacht charter brokerage. Personal interests are hiking, diving, fishing, social media marketing, weight training and general physical fitness and well being. His why: To be better tomorrow than I was today.
