Young Poet Releases First Book

For some this is announcement comes as no surprise – Chelsea R. Blues has published a poetry book and just in time for Valentines 2014. But for others, known for her dramatics says, “oh well, it should be expected.”

Chelsea is an artist in her own right who was born in Grand Bahama but grew up between the Turks & Caicos and Nassau.


She is a graduate of St. Andrews International School in Nassau where she focused her attention on drama. She has been writing poetry for most of her teen years and has shared some on her Facebook page as well as in various spoken word forums.

After high school she made her way to England where she enrolled in the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she is looking to receive a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Practice: Performance Arts as early as next year.

This poetry book, “2014=7” is available on Amazon and has been published by local publishing company, Media Unlimited.

Chelsea said this book is in three parts and talks about the journey to self love from Reminiscing, Self Hate to Self Love.

She said about her book, “proud of myself for not just accomplishing to write the book but sharing it to the world.”

Already she has made quite a few sales online and looks forward having a proper launch in Grand Bahama when she returns and another in Nassau.

At the age of 20, Chelsea says she hopes to publish more, while she also hones her writing skills on a blog called “In the Mind of a Psycho Goddess.”

Although, Young Poet releases first book - her passion is singing and she has a number of covers on her Youtube Channel and Soundcloud; as well as acting which she has been doing since “Santa Clause is Coming to Town” at the age of 3 in Freeport, at the Regency Theatre.

This talented young lady is the daughter of proud father: Ernie Blues who is presently living in Nassau.
