He's the "Choo! Choo! man" known for throwing one of the best non-stop parties on the radio, but Hot 91.7 FM radio personality, Randy 'Randy C' Rolle also has heart -- and a heart for family, which is why he takes time out to host "Randy C's Really Big Fun Day & Fair" to bring together families for a day of fun.

"Randy C's Really Big Fun Day & Fair" takes place on Saturday, June 29 at the R.M. Bailey Park starting at noon.

"I'm all about family, the oldest institution in the world, and that is what prompted me to do the first fun day and fair -- just to encourage that family interaction between parents and their children," said Randy C, a personality on The Bahamas' hottest R&B, hip hop, Reggae, rap and pop radio station.

"I wanted to encourage children to put away the video games and step away from the computers and for parents to remove the television from babysitting duties," said the radio personality. He also said that many activities that are billed as family events end up not being events that are wholesome and for the families.

At Saturday's event there will be everything that kids love and get excited about -- bouncy castles, face painting, clowns doing juggling, balloons, bubbles, a fire truck that they can explore it, the opportunity to build their own bed time buddy teddy bears, color on a tee-shirt and make candy necklaces.

An obstacle course will allow for lots of family interaction because parents will need to assist their children through the course according to the radio personality. A motorcycle train by the Platinum Riders will give parents slow rides around the track and the Remote Control Cars Club will have their toys on display. Another exciting feature of the fun day will be the opportunity to dunk another radio personality, DJ Energy, who will climb into the dunk tank.

Through his family fun day, Randy C says this is his way of encouraging parents to interact with their children and build the family relationship, to know that they do not have to go to their peers for answers to their questions.

"I want the children to know that their parents should be the people that they trust and can go to for anything which is what I tell my kids. I let them know that they will hear all kinds of things from their peers, but their parents will always tell them the truth," said the Hot 91.7 FM personality. He said he felt honored and it gives him joy to see parents interact and play with their children.

"It will be a full day of activities," he said of the event from which he will donate part proceeds to the Sister Sister (Breast) Cancer Support Group.

"I decided to donate part proceeds from this year's fun day to Sister Sister because each of us knows somebody who has been affected by cancer, and it's hit very close to home for me," he added. "I'm generally the type of person who likes to help as best I can and I like to encourage persons, and when Andrea Sweeting (Sister Sister president) told me about what they do with Sister Sister, I knew that I definitely wanted to do this and I contacted her, and told her I wanted to help."

During the fun day, Randy C will have pink boxes set up around the grounds in which people can place donations that will go to Sister Sister (Breast) Cancer Support Group.
