Cable Bahamas Ltd, the revolutionary communications provider of choice in The Bahamas, has teamed up with rising Bahamian music sensation Angelique Sabrina to bring a bold and fresh style to the company's product marketing.

Though just 15 years old, Angelique graduated high school, just one week ago, with academic excellence. Within a few short years, she already launched an international music career that has garnered recognition by accomplished music artists. Her single "Stop Sign featuring Shontelle" has seen significant airplay in both major radio markets and music video outlets in the United States. She recently performed live on stage with rap megastar Flo Rida, performed a tribute to Sir Sidney Poitier at the naming of one of the bridges to Paradise Island, and performed at the Apollo Theatre's first annual Harlem Healthy Soul Festival.

The exclusive deal with Cable Bahamas aligns Angelique Sabrina to represent the company's full line of products and services.

Cable Bahamas Head of Marketing, David Burrows said the alliance with Angelique Sabrina makes perfect sense. "Angelique Sabrina is a young outstanding talent, with determination, an innovative style and a commitment to being the best at everything she does," said Mr. Burrows. "These are all similar characteristics that drive Cable Bahamas as we continue to revolutionise technology, telecommunications and entertainment products in The Bahamas, so we see many parallels between who we are and who Angelique is."

Cable Bahamas has long maintained its technology edge in The Bahamas with its 500+ channel cable TV offering that includes dozens of HD channels and video-on-demand services, broadband Internet that is among the fastest in the Western Hemisphere, and landline telephone services. All of these services for the company's more than 80,000 residential and commercial customers are enabled by the company's high capacity fibre optic network that connects the key population centres of The Bahamas with the global Internet.

"I am very excited to be teaming up with Cable Bahamas," adds Angelique. "It is important for me to continue to partner with companies that represent my home and I feel that this partnership gives me the perfect platform!"

Angelique Sabrina's new single "Stop Sign featuring Shontelle" is playing on more than 50 influential radio stations in the USA, including market leaders in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Miami and Hartford, as well garnering almost 100 spins weekly on Sirius XM. Her total accumulated radio reach so far is well over 11 million people in the USA, according to Media base.

The "Stop Sign" music video has seen frequent airplay on MTV HITS and was recently added to Music Choice, reaching 50 million households. It is also playing in many significant retail /entertainment establishments in the USA, including McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Hard Rock Casinos, Trump Plaza, AMF Bowling Lanes, Norwegian Cruise Lines, American Airlines, Hilton and Marriott properties.

Angelique Sabrina began her rise last summer with her song "Pull Up" that quickly became an international dance sensation, inspired by the song's music video with its distinctive steps that were even performed by more than 400 NBA, NFL and MLS cheerleaders for a music video remix.

"The entire international entertainment industry has their eyes on The Bahamas thanks to the rapid rise of artist Angelique Sabrina," said Gary Bernstein, veteran radio industry executive and partner in White Ocean Entertainment, LLC, the management company behind Angelique Sabrina. "Her social reach on YouTube is approaching 1 million views and her combined social media fans and followers have reached 200,000. It's no wonder leading industry players have been watching Angelique's every move!"

Cable Bahamas has a longstanding record of working with and promoting excellent Bahamian talent, including Olympic gold medalist Debbie Ferguson when the company first launched its revolutionary broadband Internet service in 2000, the National Dance Company, Fred Ferguson, Matthew Wildgoose, Dana Ferguson, Autumn-Joy and Tony Lowe. Cable Bahamas' innovative marketing has received international recognition in its industry for the quality of work seen in its advertising. Creating positive images of Bahamians, and Bahamian families in the company's marketing is a tradition Cable Bahamas says it is proud to continue.

"Angelique's focus is clear about what she wants in her music career, and she is an excellent example of a hard-working, positive Bahamian," Mr. Burrows stated. "We believe that Angelique is a fine example of what can be achieved when young people put hard work, determination and a clear focus into creating their own opportunities."

"Angelique was born to be a singer and entertainer," said Gregg White, Angelique's father and co-manager. "When she sat her mom and me down at 12 years old and proclaimed to us that this is her calling in life, we were not surprised. We immediately committed to be 100% by her side with our full family support. Our family has always been very musical and I personally have many years of experience as a producer and manager in the entertainment industry, so my first role is always to guide and protect her as she forges her path to amazing heights."

In performance, Angelique Sabrina is what is considered a "triple threat", as a singer, dancer and actress. Mr Burrows noted another similarity with Cable Bahamas.

"Cable Bahamas is the only 'triple play' provider in The Bahamas, providing telephone, cable TV and Internet services," Mr Burrows explained. "So, like Angelique Sabrina, we've delivered on a diverse set of skills that set us apart from our competitors."

Cable Bahamas has already begun working with Angelique Sabrina on several new projects that will be released over the next few months.
