A?s, A?s and more A?s earned by thousands of students from across The Bahamas who received ?A? grades on their report cards for 2009, filled a gigantic barrel at Custom Computers Know How Store on Cable Beach as the company held the official drawing for its Second Annual A?s For Excellence Program on Saturday August 15, 2009.

When it was all over, Kemanah Cooper of Faith Temple Christian Academy emerged the winner for the Primary School Division and Felicia Best of Kingsway Academy won the Secondary School Division. Both Cooper and Best will be presented with their prizes at a special awards ceremony to be attended by an official from The Ministry of Education in September. Cooper will receive a state of the art HP Compaq Presario Desktop system and Best will receive a 24-inch iMac Computer System all thanks to Custom Computers.

?We were thrilled to see the many thousands of students with ?A? grades who entered this year?s competition,? commented Mrs. Pia Farmer, Custom Computers, Co-Owner and Marketing Director. ?The Custom Computers Know How Team is very delighted to encourage students in The Bahamas to excel and to do well and also to reward them. We truly wish that we could do more, however we have a number of causes in which we seek to help the community.? Mrs. Farmer a former school teacher said, ?This particular program is especially designed to encourage our school children, their families and teachers within the educational system??

Custom Computers Know How Store Team members led by Tammy Thompson and Sean Grazette administered the drawing and congratulated scores of participants who turned out for the special event. The students were rewarded with trendy backpack school bags and other special treats just in time for the new school semester.

To ensure that every student in The Bahamas had an opportunity to participate, the competition, which was launched at the end of May 2009, was free and open to all primary and secondary school students in both the public and private school systems in the country. Students were allowed to enter the competition for every ?A? grade they received on their final end of school report card simply by submitting copies of their report cards to Custom Computers Know How Store locations on Cable Beach and East Bay Street.
