Rolle: Grocery stores should get liquor licenses

NANCOO-RUSSELL Freeport News Reporter As licensing officials consider requests by grocery stores in New Providence to sell liquor, Bahamas Chamber of Commerce president Khaalis Rolle has said he supports the idea. Solomon's Super Centre CEO Gavin Watchorn recently confirmed toThe Nassau Guardianthat the company has received approval from the Grand Bahama Port Authority(GBPA)to carry wine and spirits at its Freeport branch. It is hoping to have the authorization to do the same in areas outside the city in the near future. Watchorn said having liquor available in-store would be an added attraction to customers.
