The Bahamas has today,
found itself under unwarranted attacks at the hands of a so-called
reputable financial services professional who on May 6, used a well
known business conference to besmirch the country's good name and to
launch a personal attack on an upstanding Bahamian and member of the
community.

For years, the Bahamas has provided a profitable haven
for a number of expatriates to pursue financial services by enabling
legislation and by ensuring that the infrastructure and architecture for
a successful financial services sector exists.
