The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to its monthly luncheon, as the guest speaker will be Dionisio D'Aguilar, well-known businessman and former Bahamas Chamber of Commerce president.
D'Aguilar, the president of Superwash and a chairman and director of numerous boards, will speak on Wednesday, May 8 at the monthly business luncheon at the Pelican Bay Hotel. D'Aguilar will be speaking on the subject "The Freeport Model: Obsolete, relic or untapped opportunity", explained Grand Bahama Chamber President Barry Malcolm. "We are looking forward to hearing this very progressive Bahamian's views on the port, as we all have our opinions and it's good to know other businesspersons' thoughts and visions."
D'Aguilar has recently been quite vocal in the media with respect to his concerns over the government work permit issue and how it will affect the economy.
The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) is encouraging as many businesses and their staff to attend the luncheon. Bookings can be made via the chamber offices by calling them at 352-8329 or emailing info@gbchamber.org.
Grand Bahamian business houses are encouraged to stay tuned via the GBCC website and Facebook pages for updates on the next meeting and upcoming events.
