Anglican Church Men to convene in New Providence for it’s 40th Anniversary of Conference and a Tribute to Men IV Banquet to be held as part of the celebrations.

The Anglican Church Men's Organization in the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of our establishment. The A.C.M. started under the patronage of the late Rt. Rev'd Michael H. Eldon in 1972 as a means of bringing Anglican men together to assist with the building and renovation of Church property. It was also to mirror the Organization of Anglican Church Women, established some nine years before.

Over the years, the A.C.M. has evolved into a Brotherhood of men who seek to lift the Name of Jesus in the Diocese. Whether on Church construction sites, Patronal Festivals, Retreats, Seminars and Workshops to support for one another and the Church, the A.C.M. has seen significant and committed growth worthy of mention. The A.C.M. will be meeting in our 40th Conference, April 10 - 14, 2013 in the All Saints Community Centre, South Beach, under the Theme: "Actioning Christ's Mandate - Guided by the Light." speakers include the Rev’d Dr. Roland Hamilton Asst. Curate at St. Margaret's Anglican Church who will speak on Mental health, Physical health and Spiritual health, Assistant, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Quinn McCartney will speak on Mentorship and Barry J. Malcolm, President The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce will speak on The Business outlook in Grand Bahama.

This year, we host the 40th Conference in New Providence. A time when men will come together to share strengths and weaknesses, while charting the way forward. This year the Vision of the A.C.M. is 'Mentorship.' Brothers will developed programmes to reach our boys and young men in a positive and meaningful way.

Another of the highlights during this years conference will be A Tribute to Men Banquet. This event will be held at the Crown Ball Room, Atlantis, on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 7:00pm. Through its honours society, the A.C.M. institutionalized a means to honour men of the A.C.M. for stellar service given to God through His Church and community. During this occasion, the men selected from the Bahamas and the Turks & Caicos Islands will be presented the "Bishop Michael Eldon Medal of Distinction," by Bishop Laish Boyd, Diocesan.
