Bahamian-owned businesses in the Grove and Robinson Road areas are being "strangled" and "catching Almighty Hell" as a result of the decision to carry out multiple roadworks at the same time, a former Chamber of Commerce president yesterday saying two of his outlets had seen sales drop 15-18 per cent as a result.
Dionisio D'Aguilar, president of Superwash, who has two laundromats in the affected area on Robinson Road and East Street, told Tribune Business that the area had become "a huge, huge parking lot", especially at peak travel hours, due to the decision to implement multiple roadworks - part of the New Providence Road ...
