"Tickle Me Pink: An Art Exhibition by Dede Brown and Dylan Rapillard" opens Friday, March 8, 6:30 p.m. at the Central Bank of The Bahamas. The exhibition will close at the beginning of April. For more information, visit http://www.popopstudios.com/tickle-me-pink/.

The Bahamas Historical Society will present Claire Simpson, author of "Neville's Island", a book that discusses the life of a young Neville Chamberlain (later to be Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) and his family's attempt to establish a sisal plantation in Mastic Point, Andros, in the late 1890s on Thursday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at the Bahamas Historical Society Museum at the corner of Shirley Street and Elizabeth Avenue. "Relate", an exhibition by Popopstudios ICVA Junior Artists in Residence Steven Schmid and Veronica Dorsett, continues at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas. "Kaleidoscope III", an exhibition by the Bahamas Union of Teachers and the Bahamas Association of Art Educators, is featured at the Treasury Building on East Street. The exhibit will feature works by art instructors from both private and public schools throughout The Bahamas.

"Single Sex", an all-female portrait show depicting only female subjects, continues at The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas. NAGB Curator John Cox says it is meant to stand in dialogue with the "Master Artists of The Bahamas" exhibition (later this year), which has no female representation. "Sketch24" Reception and Exhibition continues at Popopstudios ICVA in Chippingham. Artists and participants worked on these drawings from 12 p.m. February 1 to 12 p.m. February 2 during a fundraiser that started at the Antonius Roberts Studio and Gallery at Hillside House and ended at Popopstudios. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be in aid of Popop's residency program.

"Matters of the Heart" a Salus Project art exhibition continues at the Ladder Gallery, New Providence Community Centre, Blake Road.

"Peace & Love: Writings on the Wall", an exhibition of recent work by Stan Burnside continues at the Stan Burnside Gallery, Tower Heights, Eastern Road. They are available to view by appointment by emailing stanburnside@coralwave.com or denniecakes@hotmail.com.

NE6: "Kingdom Come" continues at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas through April 7, 2013. This sixth national exhibition features the work of 49 local artists who have been asked to respond to the challenges of transitions (social, environmental, political etc.) in modern times. Lectures and Readings

The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is pleased to present "Forbidden Fruit: The Discovery of The Americas and its New Foods Portrayed in European Painting", a lecture by George Wanklyn, Associate Professor, The American University of Paris, at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Under the National Exhibition Six (NE6): "Kingdom Come", the National Arts Gallery of The Bahamas (NAGB) Education Department presents the third Artists Talk Panel with NE6 participating artists discussing the sub-theme: "Transformation and Identity" on Tuesday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. Participating Artists include Sue Katz, Keisha Oliver and Sonia Farmer. Transforming Spaces annual art tour will take place Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17. Participating galleries and spaces include the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas, D'Aguilar Art Foundation, Antonius Roberts Studio and Gallery at Hillside House, Stingrae Studios, COB's Harry C. Moore Library, Popopstudios ICVA, Liquid Courage Gallery and Doongalik Studios Art Gallery. Tickets are priced at $30 and can be reserved at Doongalik Studios Art Gallery, #20 Village Road (394-1886), or the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas on West Hill Street (328-5800).
