Bahamian photographer nominated in photography competition

Organized by International Color Awards, the annual Photography Masters Cup is the world’s leading contest honoring color photography. Now in its sixth year, it has showcased thousands of photographs from 117 countries around the world, making it the benchmark by which international photography is rated.

Bahamian photographer Patricia Vazquez submitted her work and her photograph "My God" was nominated in the Silhouettes Amateur category. Ms. Vazquez was thrilled by the nomination pointing out that 8,521 entrees were submitted from 86 countries.

The Masters Cup is a channel for commercial photographers to show their work to important key industry tastemakers and provides an opportunity for amateur photographers to have their work recognized by captains of the industry.

Exhibiting the finest contemporary work to the world's leading galleries, agencies, curators, publishers, and dealers of photographic art, it has established a reputation for giving an international stage to photographers working at the highest level of their craft.
