The day of Love is Not the Same Without Chocolate

Valentine's Day would not be the same without chocolate, and celebrity chocolatier Erika Davis, a former Top Chef Just Desserts contestant is doing it sinfully decadent at the Graycliff Chocolate Factory. It's there that you can find everything you could possibly need to fill a basket to satisfy the sweet tooth of your honey bunny -- chocolate barks, marshmallows, chocolate bars, chocolate popcorn, hot chocolate and throw in a cute teddy bear and a tee-shirt to appeal to their sentimental side.

Or opt for their special bon bon flavors in sweet cinnamon, passion fruit or raspberry and lime, which is a take on a totally different taste of chocolate and adds a little sassiness to it which can be combined with all of their new spring flavors in a pretty box. The Chocolate Factory also offers a beautiful white chocolate or dark chocolate Valentine's heart that is approximately four-and-a-half ounces, and their famous triple chocolate chip walnut cookies dipped in dark chocolate packaged up really pretty. Topping it all off is their chocolate dipped strawberries which cost $25 per dozen.

But everything they offer can be mixed and matched to create the perfect Valentine's Day gift for your sweetheart. To purchase a Valentine's Day gift for your sweetheart from the Graycliff Chocolate Factory can run you from $9.95 up to $200, according to what you choose. The piece de resistance for Graycliff will be their Valentine's Day event that will be an awakening of the senses known as Fifty Shades of Graycliff on Thursday, February 14, from 9 p.m .to 1 a.m. in the Graycliff Gardens.

It's expected to be an affair that will be different from anything else previously done in Nassau, and the after-party to the Valentine's Day dinner. So people can either get to dinner before hand, or skip dinner altogether and jump straight into dessert. The Fifty Shades of Graycliff event will feature nude chocolate models that will be the centerpieces to the factory's chocolate sinfulness. Cheek.y lingerie will have models displaying lingerie throughout the evening. One model will be covered in chocolate, and substitute for a table, showcasing the factory's chocolates.

"One of our ladies will be completely covered in melted chocolate that will be painted on her and she will be my table for the night," said Davis. "We're covering her with all our bon bons and chocolate dipped strawberries and cookies and our chocolate cheesecake and everything that you can think of made out of chocolate she will have on that table. The decadence that will be Fifty Shades of Graycliff will be rounded out with a red velvet waffle station, a chocolate donut station and a chocolate fountain.

Cigar aficionadas can indulge in rolled cigars all night. All you can drink champagne for the night as well as a cash bar will also be the order of the day along with a deejay spinning tunes to give the event a chic lounge feel. "Everything that you can think of made out of chocolate will be on that table. We want to make it fun and sexy at the same time," said Davis of the Fifty Shades of Graycliff event.
