A teenage boy yesterday told a jury how he was pulled into a Jeep on Augusta Street and taken to an apartment where he was sodomized. Prosecutors say 38-year-old Kofhe Goodman is the man who snatched and buggered the then 12-year-old on August 17, 2011. Goodman, who is also known as Elvardo Ferguson, has denied the allegations at his trial before Senior Justice Jon Isaacs. The jury of six women and three men were moved to tears as the 13-year-old relived his ordeal on the witness stand. Dressed in a white T-shirt and black sweatpants, the boy walked into the courtroom in tears.

However, he composed himself before the court clerk administered the oath. The witness did not shed any tears as he raced through his evidence while questioned by Darell Taylor, the prosecutor. His testimony was often interrupted as Goodman's lawyer, Geoffrey Farquharson, complained that the witness was talking too quickly or too softly. At one point, the court reporter's voice broke as she read back the boy's evidence. The witness recalled how a man grabbed him off Augusta Street as he left The Pit Restaurant. The boy said he tried to escape from the vehicle, but the doors were locked.

The witness testified that the man threatened to kill him if he did not do as he was told. He said the man took him to a pink and white apartment complex in the Cable Beach area and took him to an upstairs bedroom. He said the mattress was bare. The witness said the man had sex with him. "Then he put me inside the tub and he washed me off and dried me off with a purple towel," the witness said.

The boy said he dressed and the man dropped him back to Augusta Street. The boy resumes his testimony today. Sgt. Esther Miller testified that she photographed apartment number one at a townhouse complex on Yorkshire Drive in Cable Beach. Miller said she packaged three towels and submitted them to the Police Forensic Lab. Garvin Gaskin, the deputy director of public prosecutions, Taylor, and Kristan Stubbs make up the prosecution team. Goodman is on remand at Her Majesty's Prison,
