150 jobs created at The Balmoral

NASSAU, Bahamas -- Dion Foulkes, Minister of Labour and Social Development, officially opened The Balmoral, an upscale residential development project in western New Providence, on Friday, May 29.

Minister Foulkes congratulated the developers for the opening of a club house, employing 50 Bahamians and the commencement of the construction of 75 condominiums and residential houses, which will employ over 100 Bahamian workers.

Minister Foulkes emphasized: ?This development is indicative of the confidence that the investment community has in the Bahamas. In spite of the global economic downturn, the owners of the Balmoral Club continue to aggressively pursue the completion of this project.

He praised the developers for engaging construction firms which are 100% Bahamian owned.

The Balmoral Club is jointly owned by Bahamians and foreign investors, including Bahamians Mr. Wesley Bastian and Mr. Jason Kinsale, President of The Balmoral.
