Colombian Held At Airport After Liquid Cocaine Find

A 28-year-old man from Antioquia, Colombia in police custody after the discovery of five kilos of liquid cocaine. Officers of the Airport Police Station arrested the man shortly after 6pm on Friday in the US Departure Lounge at the Lynden Pindling International Airport. The drugs weighed 12 pounds and have an estimated street value of $75,000. The man is being questioned about the incident as active police investigations continue.

A 15-year-old girl and her 50-year-old father are also in police custody after the discovery of two illegal pistols, a large quantity of ammunition, and a quantity of marijuana. Police say officers from the Mobile Division executed a search warrant on an apartment at Kim’s Cresent off of Baillou Hill Road just after noon on Saturday, where they uncovered the items. The drugs weighed two pounds and have an estimated street value of $2,000. Police also arrested a 26-year-old Palmetto Avenue man after discovering a quantity of suspected marijuana. Officers of the Mobile Division arrested the man around 9.30pm on Saturday. Active investigations continue.
