Grand Lucayan remains open for business folowing Hurricane Sandy

GRAND BAHAMA ISLAND, Bahamas - Oct. 26, 2012 - Grand Lucayan, Bahamas is currently open for business as Hurricane Sandy weakens and runs its course through the islands of the Bahamas. Grand Lucayan, Bahamas itself sustained no significant damage of any kind beyond temporary power outages, which have been addressed with generator-supplied power. Currently guests are enjoying full buffet meals, games and entertainment at Barracudas. Additional operational decisions will be made by 11 a.m. tomorrow morning. Due to remaining wind conditions the airport on Grand Bahama Island remains closed at this time until further notice.
