The 'Plant Ladies of Camperdown' at the plant sale 2012.Nassau, Bahamas -- New and unusual plants will be the focus of this year's Camperdown Plant Sale, the largest private sale of plants on the island.  Plant enthusiasts always look forward to this event which is held annually every fall at the home of Sarah Lobosky in Camperdown.  Mark your calendar as this year the sale will take place on Saturday, November 10th from 9 until 12.

Four ladies who reside in Camperdown combine their yearly gardening efforts to produce a wide variety of beautiful plants and hanging baskets which they offer at reasonable prices to the public.  Cindy Wilde, Joanna Robertson, Alison Albury and Sarah Lobosky, themselves, all have beautiful gardens, and several years ago they decided to share some of their excess plants and trees with other plant enthusiasts.

Since then, the popularity of this annual event has reached far and wide. There is no entrance fee to attend the sale, and once people step inside the garden, they are amazed at the wide variety of Adeniums, bromeliads, ferns, orchids, palms and various tropical anomalies that will delight any gardener.

There will be hanging baskets, Tillandsia displays, and tables of various plants from which to choose, all for sale at reasonable prices. As usual there will be a Bargain Table ($5-and-under) for those gardeners who are on a restricted budget, and there will be plenty of items in this price range to choose from.  In addition, items such as delicious pepper jelly will also be available for sale.  There will be many signs to follow on the morning of the sale making it easy to find the location.  Look for signs on Eastern Road and also Prince Charles Drive.
