NASSAU, Bahamas -- Hands for Hunger, a Bahamian non-profit organization that works to provide food to Bahamians in need, has signed up two major beverage suppliers as partners in their first-ever major fundraising event.

Paradise Plates, Hands for Hunger?s first annual fundraiser, is set to take place Saturday, May 23rd at the Atlantis Crown Ballroom. The unique evening event will include gourmet food and wine tasting, as well as drink samples from Bahamian-owned Sands Brewery and refreshing frozen daiquiris from Tropics and Bacardi.

?We are very excited to be part of Paradise Plates and it is a great opportunity for Sands Brewery to showcase their product,? said Tina Hilton, Marking Representative for Sands.

Guava and Passion Fruit frozen daiquiris and pina coladas will be provided by SHG Management Company, which currently manages Paradise Island Beach Club. SHG has partnered with Bacardi to provide tasting samples of these sweet fruit cocktails. ?We have fifteen flavours of frozen drink mix and we have picked three to present at Paradise Plates,? said Steve Glasgow, at SHG. ?We are very proud to be able to support Hands for Hunger during these difficult economic times when their services are needed more than ever by our fellow Bahamians.?
