Impasse between union, Grand Bahama Power Company

A stand-off between management at the Grand Bahama Power Company and the Commonwealth Electrical Workers Union(CEWU)over a deadlock in contract negotiations will result in industrial action,The Guardianhas been told.
CEWU President Leslie Lightbourne has revealed that both sides have reached an impasse with regard to a new three-year agreement that will cover the 134 line staff at the power company.
Although he remained tight-lipped on when the industrial action will take place and in what form,The Guardianunderstands that it could take place as early as this week.
