On August 18, The Zonta Club of Nassau hosted its 3rd Annual Back-To-School Drive. The drive was held in partnership with Phil's Food Services Limited, which hosted the event at its Gladstone Road facility.
The Zonta Club of Nassau realized that partnering with retail outlets is a great way of getting shoppers to participate while doing the school supplies shopping for their kids. The organization expressed its gratitude to Phil's Food Services for its strong support in a recent statement.
Going to back to school requires a lot of clothing, school supplies and food items that can be a strain on the budget of some parents, and is often out of reach for many others.
The statement from Zonta noted that helping children and their parents prepare for a new school year is the organization's way of fulfilling its mission to advance the status of women locally.

The items collected from Zonta's drive were donated to St. Agnes Anglican Church for the benefit of families in the Bain Town and Grants Town communities, where that church is located.
