Verdict expected today in attempted armed robbery case

Aâ verdict is expected today in the attempted armed robbery case of Ryan Omar Butler.
Butler, whose street name is"Smokey", is accused of trying to rob an armored truck that was about to leave the Royal Bank ofâ Canada on Prince Charles Drive on December 21, 2007.
Prosecutors allege that Butler was one of two armed men who banged on the door of the armored truck and demanded that the employees inside it open the door. However, the robbery attempt was thwarted by a police reservist and an off-duty police officer, who were nearby.
According to the prosecution, Butler was shot during capture. However, Butler contends he was just an innoce ...
