Charles Maynard FNM Free National Movement

Charles Maynard was born in Nassau, the son of Andrew (Dud) and Isadora Maynard.  Mr Maynard graduated from Queen’s College and later from the College of The Bahamas in 1988. Since graduating, he has worked with an agro-business development company, participating in comprehensive research in the profitability of sustained agricultural and animal husbandry in The Bahamas.  Mr Maynard was responsible for the development of the Corner Hotel into a thriving business in the heart of City 2000. He has a keen interest in the promotion of Bahamian culture, compelling him to develop a Bahamian products and services enterprise. A devotee of Junkanoo, he has played different roles in a number of leading Junkanoo groups. Deeply committed to his community, Mr Maynard has served on the Carmichael Police Consultative Committee for many years.

 

Michael Halkitis PLP Progressive Liberal Party

 

Mr. Halkitis was born on February 1st, 1969 in Nassau, Bahamas and is Married to Dr. Tracy Roberts-Halkitis. They have two children together Kiran & Soraya.  Mr. Halkitis was elected to Parliament for the first time on May 2nd 2002, as the Member of Parliament for the Adelaide Constituency. He was appointed to the Senate in 2007 by the Leader of The Opposition Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie.  A graduate of St. Augustine’s College, Michael began his tertiary career at The College of The Bahamas. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1991.   Mr. Halkitis is a Financial Analyst, Trader, Portfolio Manager and Private Banker. He is currently employed as a Chartered Financial Analyst at British American Financial.

Farrell Goff DNA Democratic National Alliance

 

Farrell Goff was born in Rock Sound Eleuthera and, under the watchful eye of his very loving and spiritual grandmother, resided there for the first five years of his life. These formative years on “the island” had much to do with creating the building blocks for his future character and way of life.  Currently Farrell is the owner of Bahamas Woodworking Studio, which provides high end custom, locally produced residential and commercial cabinetry, and Synergy Visualization, a consultant firm offering architectural renderings to realtors, architects, and developers.  His personal interests include reading, boating, snowboarding and distance running. He also enjoys golfing and fishing. Farrell attends Global Village Methodist Church and assists the various church groups in the community as a volunteer.  A family man, Farrell is the proud father of four daughers and he and his wife Monette (nee Russell-Pratt) have a son.
