Who will take home the 2012 Galaxy Crowns?
Nassau, The Bahamas - April 19, 2012 - After several months of training and workshops, 18 beauties will be vying for the title of Little Miss, Pre-Teen Miss, Jr. Miss, Miss, Teen and Miss Bahamas Galaxy. “When we introduced the new junior divisions, the organization didn’t know what to expect. I am extremely pleased at the overwhelming response, this has definitely taken the Bahamas Galaxy Pageants to a new level.” stated Andrea Knott, Pageant Director of The Bahamas Galaxy Pageants.
The Pageant is an associate of the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) of The Bahamas and has organized several events to expose and involve the contestants in community service activities.
The Bahamas Galaxy Pageant a subsidiary of Galaxy International Pageants and is holding the 3rd Annual Bahamas Galaxy Pageants. For the first time, they are introducing Little Miss, Junior Miss and Pre-Teen Miss divisions. The focus of The Bahamas Galaxy Pageants is to promote elegance, sportsmanship and talent with a variety of resources to enhance each contestant’s personal and social development. The pageant affords each contestant the opportunity to grow and advance in her personal and career goals while being a role model in her community.
“We couldn’t be more excited about the pageant this year, expressed D’Vanya Thompson-Hinsey, Assistant Director of Bahamas Galaxy Pageants. “All the young ladies are determined to win one of the crowns. We are very proud of all the young ladies and wish them the best of luck.”
The five winners will be crowned at the finale on Sunday, 22nd April, 2012 at the Rainforest Theatre, Wyndham Nassau Resort & Casino. Not only will the winners receive a multitude of prizes, but they will also get the opportunity to compete at the 2012 Galaxy International Pageant in July in Orlando, Florida.
Mrs. Galaxy International, Kellie Lightbourn, will be visiting The Bahamas and hosting the show with Kerel Pinder, Miss Bahamas Earth 2012.
