Funeral service for Edgar Clarence Johnson, 78 yrs., a resident of Polhemus Street off Nassau Street, who died on 23rd March, 2012 will be held at Worldwide Church of God, Lumumba Lane, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Robert W. T. McKinney. Interment follows in Southern Cemetery, Cowpen & Spikenard Roads.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Florence Elizabeth Johnson. Son: Edmond Johnson. Daughters: Deborah Johnson, Joann Johnson and Jan McKinney. Brothers: Bertram and Dr. John Johnson. Sister: Rona Floyd. Son in law: Samuel McKinney. Daughter in law: Sharlene Johnson. Sisters in law: Shirley and Mary Johnson. Brothers in law: Paul and John Nesbitt. Grandchildren: Collie, Delphenia, Michael, Latoya, Jasmin, Jarcel, Edmond Jr. Jessica and Ashton Johnson; Jonece Burrows, David, Daphne and Nathan McKinney; Lewann and Johnathan Wildgoose and Anaiah Johnson. Great grandchildren: Donavon and Kiarah Johnson; David Jr. and Abi McKinney and Jeniah Burrows. Numerous Nieces & Nephews including: Patrick, Crystal, Valderine, Dencil, Natasha, Shatntell, Jacquette, Tera, Francis, Bertram Jr. Sheldon, Tavaris, Ednal, Berkley, Annastacia, Cyrese, Jamor, Hans, Fred, Ricky, Garnel, Vivian, Donna, Tommy, Wendy, and Derick. Other Family Friends and relatives Including: The Nesbitt Family, The Children of the late Harriett Whyms, Andrea Wood and Family, The McKinney Family, Remelda Johnson and Family, Rose Green and Family, Jarett Dean and Family, Frank Clarke and family, Kingsley Mather and Family, Sidney Thompson and the Thompson Family, Latoya Gordon, Charlie Watson, Basil Butler and family, Akeem Burrows, Mia Mckinney, Lawrence McPhee and family and the Polhemus and Parker Street residents.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 1-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday & on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
