COMMENCEMENT OF ROAD & INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS BUSINESS IMPACT QUESTIONNAIRE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

20th March 2012 – Beginning Wednesday, 21st March 2012, the Government will commence execution of the Road & Infrastructure Works Impact Questionnaire. Ministry of Finance personnel will visit business establishments throughout New Providence on corridors and their connecting side streets impacted by the New Providence Road and Infrastructure Improvement Project.

Business establishments which are in operation, as well as those which are temporarily closed, are to be surveyed.

By the Road and Infrastructure Works Impact Questionnaire, the Government seeks to obtain specific information from business establishments to determine how best it might provide economic assistance to those businesses which have been adversely impacted. Information sought includes: details regarding respective business establishment’s expenses, revenue, profits, accounts receivables and payables during the period 2007 to 2011.

The survey will commence on Baillou Hill Road, Market Street and Prince Charles Drive. Other corridors to be surveyed include: Robinson Road, East Street South, Soldier Road, Marathon Road, Abundant Life Road, Wulff Road, Fox Hill Road and Thompson Boulevard.

Enumerators will leave the Impact Questionnaire with respective business establishments to be completed. Business establishments will be provided a minimum of one week to complete the survey and gather the information and supporting documents being requested, before they are collected by enumerators.
