Clean windows cast your home in best light

DO: Remove dirty and old fashioned curtains from your windows and replace them with simple blinds in a neutral color.

Make sure all your windows and screens are clean and in good condition.

Dirty windows and dirty window screens will make your home look dark, dingy and less appealing.

DON'T: Decide to do major and expensive renovations to your home when you are ready to sell. Chances are you will not get your money back. Small changes such as paint and landscaping are proven to be a better way to make your home more appealing to buyers.

De-cluttering and staging your existing furniture are much better choices and will not cost you a penny.
