A 32-year-old man was arraigned in a magistrates court yesterday in connection with a triple shooting that left two people dead on Sunday.
Kenneth Knowles, of Pinewood Gardens, was charged with the murders of Anthony Miller, 26, and Alexandria Farrington, 24.
Knowles was also charged with the attempted murder of Olivia Sawyer.
According to police, Miller, Farrington and Sawyer were attending a party on Fire Trail Road when they were shot during an altercation around 1:45 a.m.
Knowles was not required to enter a plea to the charge at his arraignment before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez.
Gomez said prosecutors intend to present a voluntary bill of indictment on April 17, which will fast-track the case to the Supreme Court.
Knowles was represented by attorney Stanley Rolle.
His attorney requested that Gomez inform prison officials that Knowles was currently taking prescription blood thinners and needed to continue taking his medication while incarcerated.
Gomez instructed Rolle to make a written request to the prison superintendent. Knowles was remanded to Her Majesty's Prison.
