FREE National Movement associations in North and South Eleuthera have announced their candidacy selections for the 2012 general election.

According to a party release sent last night, Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham met with party executives on the island this weekend. Howard Johnson has been recommended for the South Eleuthera seat, and Theo Neilly has been selected for North Eleuthera.

Mr Neilly will replace sitting MP Alvin Smith who will not be seeking re-election, the party has confirmed.

Mr Smith, current Speaker of the House, entered front-line politics in 1992 when he unsuccessfully contested the Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera Constituency.
