Alex Williams, 32, of Union Village, has been charged with the December 23 armed robbery of Bahama Dream Web Cafe on Mackey Street.
Williams is accused of the possession of an Austria Glock .45 pistol and five bullets.  Police allegedly found the gun when they searched a Chevy Tahoe near Kemp Road a short time after the robbery.
Police allege that he fired at two officers -- Corporal 62 Harris and Constable 3216 Patton -- during the pursuit that led to his capture.
Williams is charged with having a firearm to endanger the lives of the officers.  He was not required to enter pleas to the charges at an arraignment before Gun Court Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt yesterday.
He has been remanded to prison until March 6.
In other court news, an 18-year-old boy has been accused of attempted murder.
Deon Campbell, of Mount Pleasant Avenue, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez yesterday charged with the attempted murder of Cordero Meadows on December 23. He is also accused of endangering the life of Antoine Meadows with a firearm on the same date.
Police allege that Campbell was found with a .380 pistol and nine bullets for the gun on December 23.
He was not required to plead to the charges.  He returns to court on February 22 when a voluntary bill of indictment will move the case to the Supreme Court.
