THE Barracudas swim club shined at the Speedo Plantation Winter Championship meet in Plantation, Florida. Twenty swimmers, head coach Sue Coleby and recently appointed senior coach Travano McPhee took part.

Gershwin Greene, the only athlete in the 12-year-old category, scored the highest number of points for the Barracudas, winning a gold medal in the 50 yard backstroke, a silver in the 100 yard backstroke, a bronze in the 50 yard free and a bronze in the 50 yard butterfly.

Izaak Bastian, in the 10-year-old category, was the golden boy, winning a gold medal in the 50 yard and 100 yard breaststroke.
