LETHA Strachan will become the seventh woman to serve in the Anglican Diocese of the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands when she is ordained as a deacon next Tuesday, which coincides with the Feast of St Bartholomew the Apostle. The ordination will take place at St Barnabas Anglican Church on Baillou Hill Road at 7pm. The chief celebrant for this special occasion will be Reverend Laish Zane Boyd, Sr, Diocesan Bishop; and Canon Basil Tynes, Rector of St Barnabas will preach the sermon.
