A LEADING attorney yesterday said "there is no reason" why the Bahamas cannot grow its international financial services industry through diversification, adding that the key was whether this nation had "the will and ability to do what is necessary to plug into" changing market dynamics.

While disputing the assertion by Moody's, the international credit rating agency, that the Bahamas' diversification prospects were "relatively limited", Brian Moree QC, senior partner at McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes said it was vital this nation "adjusted its business model" to meet rapid change.
